Financing multiple pieces of equipment at once

Financing multiple pieces of equipment at once: when to bundle purchases, how to plan the total amount, and which programs fit a bigger buy.

You can finance several pieces of equipment at once, either as one combined deal or as separate deals for each machine. Bundling makes sense when the purchases are part of the same plan, like outfitting a new crew or adding trucks to a fleet, because you get one approval, one payment plan and everything on the job at the same time. Royal Funding Group funds from $5,000 up to $5,000,000, which covers most multi-machine purchases.

When it makes sense to buy several machines at once

Owners usually buy equipment one piece at a time. But some moments call for more:

  • Adding a crew. A second crew needs its own truck, trailer and machines.
  • Growing a fleet. Adding several trucks or vans at once to handle more routes or customers.
  • Winning a large contract. A big job may need more machines than you have today.
  • Opening a new location. A second shop, kitchen or facility has to be fully equipped before it opens.
  • Replacing aging equipment. Swapping out several worn machines at once instead of waiting for each to fail.

In each case, buying piece by piece can slow you down. You end up waiting on one approval before you start the next, and the plan stalls.

One deal or several

One combined deal puts everything under a single approval and payment schedule. It is easier to manage and gets all the equipment in place together. It works best when the machines serve the same purpose and have similar working lives.

Separate deals let you match each machine to its own term. A truck you will run for many years might fit a longer term, while a piece of technology you will replace sooner fits a shorter one. Separate deals take more paperwork but give more control.

Your specialist will look at the full list and suggest the structure that keeps payments manageable and fits how long each machine will work for you.

Which programs fit a larger purchase

Expansion financing. When several machines are part of a growth plan, expansion financing funds the whole move, up to $5M. It is built for fleet growth, large contracts, new locations and acquisitions.

Term loans. For a large equipment buy, a term loan of 12 to 48 months gives you a lump sum and spreads the cost over a longer period.

Equipment financing. Each machine is paid for and repaid over a set term, with the equipment typically backing the deal.

Line of credit. For a steady stream of smaller purchases, a line of credit lets you draw what you need, repay and draw again, and pay only on what you use.

How to plan a multi-machine purchase

  1. List everything. Make, model, new or used, and price for each machine, plus attachments, delivery and setup.
  2. Get quotes in writing. Funders need them, and they make the call with your specialist faster.
  3. Know your revenue. Larger amounts call for clear revenue to support them. Have your average monthly revenue and recent bank statements ready.
  4. Map the payoff. Figure out how the new equipment will bring in revenue: new routes, new crews, new contracts.
  5. Keep a cushion. Leave room in your budget for fuel, insurance, drivers and operators. A large equipment purchase often brings new operating costs with it.

The funding calculator helps you test what a payment looks like at different amounts.

A quick example

Say a trucking company lands a regional contract that needs four more trucks. Buying them one at a time over a year would mean turning down loads until the fleet catches up. Financing all four at once gets them on the road together, and the contract revenue covers the payments. Insurance, drivers and fuel go into the plan from day one.

What RFG looks at

Royal Funding Group funds U.S. businesses with 12 or more months in business. We look at the whole business, not only the owner’s credit score: revenue, time in business and how money moves through your account. Credit of 650+ gets the best pricing and highest limits, which matters for larger amounts. Approvals come in hours, and funding arrives the same day.

Questions to ask before you sign

When you finance several machines, small details add up. Ask your specialist:

  • Is each machine on its own schedule, or is everything combined?
  • Can attachments, delivery and setup be part of the financing?
  • What happens if one machine needs to be replaced or sold during the term?
  • Is there a discount for paying early? Most RFG programs include early payoff discounts.
  • What is the total payback across all the equipment, not only the monthly payment?

Clear answers up front make the deal easier to manage for years.
